Pater peccavi in caelum - Lent wk 2 Saturday no 1

R. Pater, / peccávi in cælum, et coram te: † iam non sum dignus vocari fílius tuus: * Fac me sicut unum ex mercenáriis tuis.
V. Quanti mercenárii in domo patris mei abundant pánibus, ego autem hic fame pereo! † Surgam, et ibo ad patrem meum, et dicam ei.
R. Fac me sicut unum ex mercenáriis tuis.
R. Father, I have sinned against heaven and before thee, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.* Make me as one of thine hired servants.
V. How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! I will arise and go to my father and will say unto him
R. Make me as one of thine hired servants
