Stéphano, * Et non póterunt resístere sapiéntiae et Spirítui qui loquebátur.

R. Now there arose some of that synagogue disputing with
Stephen. * And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit that
spoke.

took him, and brought him to the council.
