R. This is the
well-beloved Fore-runner, a burning and a shining light before the Lord. *
For even this is John, who made straight in the desert a highway for our God.
This also is he which bare witness, saying: Behold the Lamb of God! And his
light lightened the minds of men.
V. He shall go before
Him in the spirit and power of Elias.
R. For even this is
John, who made straight in the desert an highway for our God. This also is he
which bare witness, saying Behold the Lamb of God! And his light lightened
the minds of men.
