Tenebrae factae sunt - Good Friday no 5

R. Ténebræ / factæ sunt, dum crucifixíssent Iesum iudǽi: † et circa horam nonam exclamávit iesus voce magna: † Deus meus, ut quid me dereliquísti? * Et inclináto cápite, emisit spíritum.
V. Exclámans iesus voce magna, ait: † Pater, in manus tuas comméndo spíritum meum.
R. Et inclináto cápite, emisit spíritum.
R. The Jews crucified Jesus: and there was darkness (over all the land, unto the ninth hour): and about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, (saying): My God, (My God,) why hast Thou forsaken Me? * And He bowed His Head, and gave up the Ghost.
V. When Jesus had cried with a loud voice, He said: Father, into thy hands I commend My Spirit.
R. And He bowed His Head, and gave up the Ghost.
