R. Suscípiens / Iesum in ulnas suas
Simeon, exclamávit, et dixit: * Tu es vere lumen ad illuminatiónem Géntium,
et glóriam plebis tuæ Israël.
V. Cum inducerent púerum Iesum
paréntes eius, et ipse accépit eum in ulnas suas, † et benedíxit Deum, et dixit.
R. Tu es vere
lumen ad illuminatiónem Géntium, et glóriam plebis tuæ Israël.

R. Simeon took Jesus up in his arms,
and cried out, and said: * Verily Thou art a light to lighten the Gentiles,
and the Glory of thy people Israel.
V. When His parents brought in the
Child Jesus, then took he Him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said:
R. Verily Thou art a light to
lighten the Gentiles, and the Glory of thy people Israel.
