iste: † non est hic áliud nisi domus Dei et porta caeli: * Vere étenim Dóminus
est in loco isto, et ego nesciébam.
V. Vidit Iacob in somnis
scalam, súmmitas eius cælos tangébat, † et Angelos Dei descendéntes et ascendéntes
per eam, et ait.

R. How
terrible is this place! This is no other but the house of God, and the gate
of heaven. * Indeed the Lord is in this place, and I knew it not.
V. Jacob
saw in his sleep a ladder standing upon the earth, and the top thereof
touching heaven: the angels also of God ascending and descending by it.
R. Indeed
the Lord is in this place, and I knew it not.
V. Glory be
to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost.
