R. Dum exíret / Iacob de terra sua, vidit glóriam Dei, et ait: † Quam terríbilis est locus iste! * Non est hic aliud, nisi domus Dei, et porta cæli. V. Vere Deus est in loco isto, et ego nesciébam. R. Non est hic aliud, nisi domus Dei, et porta cæli.

R. As Jacob went out from his own land, he saw the glory of God, and said How dreadful is this place * This is none other but the house of God and this is the gate of heaven. V. Surely God is in this place, and I knew it not. R. This is none other but the house of God and this is the gate of heaven.

Si Dóminus / Deus meus fúerit mecum in via ista, per quam ego ámbulo, et custodíerit me, † et déderit mihi panem ad edéndum, et vestiméntum quo opériar, et revocáverit me cum salúte: * Erit mihi Dóminus in refúgium, et lapis iste in signum.
