R. Cum inducerent púerum Jesum paréntes ejus in templum, ut fácerent secúndum consuetúdinem legis pro eo, accépit eum Simeon in ulnas suas, et benedíxit Deum, dicens: * Nunc dimíttis, Dómine, servum tuum in pace.
V. Suscípiens Simeon Puerum in mánibus, exclamávit, dicens.
R. Nunc dimíttis, Dómine, servum tuum in pace.
R. When His parents brought the Child Jesus into the temple, to do for Him after the custom of the law, Simeon took Him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said: * Lord, now lettest Thou thy servant depart in peace.
V. Simeon took up the Child in his arms, and cried out, and said:
R. Lord, now lettest Thou thy servant depart in peace.
