R. Cumque / ad mensam sedérent, venerábilis soror Dei servum rogávit, * Ut tota nocte commorántes, de caeléstis vitae gáudiis loqueréntur.
V. Servus autem Dómini petitiónem admírans, † manére posse extra cellam negat instánti.
R. Ut tota nocte commorántes, de caeléstis vitae gáudiis loqueréntur.
V. Glória Patri, et Fílio, et Spirítui Sancto.
R. Ut tota nocte commorántes, de caeléstis vitae gáudiis loqueréntur.
R. And as they were yet sitting at the table, the holy Nun his sister entreated him, * That they might stay there all night, discoursing of the joys of heaven.
V. But the servant of God, admiring her petition, did not want to remain outside of his monastery cell.
